The fifth episode begins in an auspicious mode where Sticky and Reynie start putting up their messenger’s outfit. After that comes Mr. Curtain who provides them the sash. Then Mr. Curtain started praising Sticky. He says that the loyalty he showed in the pressure room was just too awesome. As a reward for that loyalty, he has received the Messenger’s post now.

Mr. Curtain still looked to be in doubt. He says that it’s a kinda weird coincidence when both of the boys had arrived in the same car and the speed at which they became Messengers was way too quick. He also asks the boys whether they know each other or not? Reynie replies to the same by saying that it was just a coincidence, nothing else.

After that comes the lunch scene, where all the four kids are enjoying themselves together. They all were discussing the new secret morse code message given to them by Mr. Benedict. It contains words like Bell, boulder, and copper waves. Now the kids are trying their best to decode this message.

Later on, the other messengers start inviting Sticky and Reynie to the eating table. There they started telling them the major responsibilities they had as messengers. After a few minutes, two more messengers arrive at the table and started asking whether anyone saw the blinking light by the sea last night or not.

This blinking light is a way by which the kids could easily contact Mr. Benedict through the Morse code. Sticky and Reynie had nothing to say so they just gave some excuses and in the end, they were easily able to handle the matter. The other messengers assure the person that they will now be more aware of it.

At the Stonewall, Mr. Benedict finally receives the issue of blinking light from the kids. After that, they started suggesting any other way to contact the kids. One among them suggests Falcon. They went to see the birds but there they met an unexpected guest who is Ms. Perumal.

Perumal started asking questions regarding Reynie and later on, she threatens him that she will take action against him if he lies. Then at the institute, Sticky and Reynie were blindfolded by two Messengers. They took them to the Whisperer.

Both of the messengers now leave and Sticky and Reynie will now give the Whisperer test. They both are given a white helmet which they had to wear. Then a female voice started asking them some questions. One question was regarding their fear to which Reynie answered that he fears being alone.

Sticky and Reynie are going through the test while other messengers are decoding the coded message given by Benedict. The tetherball team leader then calls Kate for a very important meeting. Then Constance successfully decodes the code and he had found Boulder. When Kate had arrived back, they both had opened the boulder together. At the Whisperer, Sticky’s turn comes. He says that his fear is not being wanted at all.
