What will be the format?
This time, there will be several changes in the format. According to the sources, there will be just two groups this time- Group A and Group B. The panel will choose one winner from both groups. Then, they will go for a face to face round. Thus, in this way, one will become the winner. Moreover, the executive producer told, “…they will go head to head almost like a prizefight to see who is the Masked Singer. But the great thing is, they will be taking on each other, and they have never sat on the same stage together until that moment.”
Furthermore, there will be a Take It Off Buzzer i.e. an elimination twist. The game is quite simple. The panellists will have the option to identify the contestant at any point in time during the game. If they will guess correctly, they will be awarded two points and that particular contestant will be out of the game.
But, on the other hand, if the guess is wrong, then the panellist will lose two points towards Golden Ear Trophy. So, it is not that easy. However, the buzzer can be used once in both groups. Hence, all the panellists will not get a chance to press the buzzer.
Will there be an audience?
Well, to your pleasure, there will be an audience! Yes, after three seasons, the audience is returning. According to Breen, “It changes the dynamics in the studio. I think it’s just been to get fans back in the room and have them experience it with us.”
