Ratched Season 2: Will there be a Season 2 of Ratched? Rumors Explored

Ratched Season 2: Ratched is in the headlines as it got pretty good feedback from the audience. However, they were wondering whether they will get to see a Season 2 of Ryan Murphy’s Ratched.

The first season was a superhit. It became the most viewed debut season in 2020, according to Steamer’s stats. It crossed more than 48 million views in the first 28 days of its release.

Ratched Season 2 Release Window

With Netflix ordering a two-season bill back in 2017, we get the confirmation about Season 2nd of Ratched. But it will come only in 2022, not before this. Hence, we will have to wait for a year.

In an interview with Variety in 2021, Paulson said, “Nobody knows anything about Season 2 because Ryan, with the number of things he has going on, who’s to know when that’s all going to begin, and you throw in the pandemic and then we think well who knows.”

Additionally, there are no official updates from elsewhere as well. But we can expect some updates very soon.

Ratched Season 2 Plot

We don’t have much information about the plot as well. However, the cast members have given some hints here and there. So, we can surely guess about the plot of Ratched Season 2.

As Cynthia Nixon said in an interview with OprahMag.com, so we can expect “a lot of pathos and heartbreaks” in the coming season. Whereas, Paulson said that she would love to “explore the parts of Mildred Ratched that aren’t porous.” In this season, we will get to see the relationship between Ratched and Briggs, and also between Edmund and Charlotte. But, as we saw in Season 1 that Edmund killed several nurses, he will continue this in the second season as well.

Paulson also revealed in an interview with Variety that the story could also correlate with the time of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest as and when it reaches Season 4.

Ratched Season 2 Cast

Dr. Richard Hanover (Jon Jon Briones), Lenore Osgood (Sharon Stone), Dolly (Alice Englert), nurse Huck Finnigan (Charlie Carver), Charles Wainwright (Corey Stoll), and Harold (Jermaine Williams) are the characters which we will not get to see in Season 2.

However, the main characters will remain same in the Season 2. Therefore, the expected cast of Season 2 involves:-
