Fans are anticipating the final episode of the popular crime drama Tokyo Vice. The episode is set to drop this week and fans are keeping their fingers crossed in hopes of a satisfying ending.

The crime series is based on a 2009 book of the same name written by Jake Adelstein. It has been created by J.T. Rogers with Ralph Winter and Satch Watanabe serving as the series producers. The filming of the series took place in Tokyo, Japan.

Set against the backdrop of 1999, the plot follows Jake’s story, as an American crime journalist, after he relocated to Tokyo. The show captures the duration when he worked for The Yomiuri Shimbun from 1993 to 2005. He is believed to be the first successful foreign-born journalist. Jake had to report on the criminal activities conducted by the Yakuza which was a much larger syndicate than the New York Mafia.

Initially meant to be a feature film, Adelstein’s story was adapted for an eight-episode television series.

The final episode of Tokyo Vice is titled, Yoshino. We can expect that Jin might not be killed but will be arrested. Sato will most likely act recklessly again which might lead him to his ultimate demise.
