The production of Loki Season 2 is underway. Previously a bunch of images from the set was leaked which may have suggested that a new villain might be introduced in the upcoming season.

Who is the villain in Loki season 2?
The previous season of Loki ended with Sylvie tricking Loki in order to kill Kang’s milder variant, because of whom the Sacred Timeline remained.
He Who Remains was not necessarily the protagonist in the first season. Consequently, the variant of Kang who now maintains the mysterious Time Variance Authority (TVA) might not be the villain in Loki season 2.
Furthermore, Sylvie’s actions will now have immediate consequences on the timeline. It is speculated that her actions will unleash the multiverse.
We have already witnessed the aftermath of it in the previous Marvel movies. For instance, the spell that went wrong in 2021 Spider-Man: No Way Home. In addition to the shenanigans that happened in 2022 Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
These were the sort of episodes that TVA would have prevented if He Who Remains would have led them.
Moreover, Sylvie’s plan to kill Kang not only broke Loki’s heart but also fully altered the TVA universe.
When Loki returned to the agency, he learned that Mobius did not recognize him while a new variant of Kang was leading the TVA.
This proves that Kang might be the next villain in the second season of Loki.
However, it is important to note that these are just speculations and nothing has been announced as of yet.
A new cast member might join
An MCU leaker who goes by the name CineStealth has recently claimed that a ‘super huge actor ‘might’ have been cast as a villain’ in the upcoming season of Loki.
The leaker further mentioned that ‘If true, [it] would break the internet (for several reasons beyond just hype).’
This person has previously revealed quite a few accurate details about the Marvel series. They indicated that they have some well-placed connections who provide them with such spoilers.
According to CineStealth the second season of Loki is going to be ‘crazy as hell.’
Meanwhile, we are expecting Loki season 2 to continue with the multiverse storyline since we are currently in the Multiverse Saga.
Additionally, Marvel could include a cameo of a big star in the series if they want to. Again these are just speculations nothing has been confirmed by MCU officials as of now.
