GRAMMYS 2021 – Bruno Mars will perform well on the Grammys Awards stage this Sunday, March 14 in Los Angeles. The Recording Academy confirmed it on Twitter earlier this week after a campaign expertly orchestrated by the artist.

Bruno Mars will perform there his new single “Leave The Door Open” with Anderson.Paak, the two having just formed their duo called Silk Sonic. They join a five-star cast including Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, Chris Martin, and Dua Lipa.

But it was not easy for the singer of the track “Uptown Funk” … at least on the surface. In what ultimately appears to be a staging, the singer approached the organization on Monday to ask to join the lineup.

If you could find room in your heart for two unemployed musicians to perform at your show, we would really appreciate it, ”the artist implored in his post. Desperate to convince the crowd, the singer even wrote on a note of humor that he could send an audio demo and “do all the necessary Covid tests” in order to perform on stage.

“We just want to go back to a stage. I hope you will consider our request and give us the opportunity to shine, ”he concluded. In addition to this message, Bruno Mars and Anderson. Paak had also launched the hashtag #LetSilkSonicThrive two days earlier to support their application.

Without a response from the Academy at first, the two fellows exchanged a few sweet words by screen interposed before announcing the separation from the group. Not for long since the Grammy organization heard the pair’s call, validating their participation later in the evening.

Real exchanges or staging? The result is the same: Bruno Mars will indeed tread the Grammy plateau this Sunday evening.
