“Fast & Furious 9” is one of the biggest cinema titles that have been postponed due to the ongoing corona crisis in 2020. The upcoming spectacle was once postponed for a whole year, but according to the current state of affairs it should be that time soon – we have included it in our list of the greatest highlights for 2021 in a very optimistic way.
And to make the waiting time a little more difficult for all fans, the superstar and lead actor of the series Vin Diesel, who again embodies Dominic Toretto, has revealed some new details about the spectacle in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. All trailers can now put on their seat belts!
The “Fast & Furious” franchise doesn’t always take it that seriously with death and has already resurrected a character – and there might be more. “F9” also returns with Han (Sung Kang), a hero believed to be dead, whose renewed use has long been demanded by fans with the hashtag “#justiceforhan” (“Justice for Han”).

The trailer already gave it away, Han is there again and Diesel explained what is so special about it: “Han is an integral character in the series. If you remember, he is somehow responsible for Dom’s being gone for years. ” So there’s something magical about Han, said Diesel, who added, “When you see it, you’ll feel it.” At its core, Han’s story is interlinked with the central theme of the new film: “Don’t give up on your family”.

More action for Helen Mirren And one more little thing was elicited from Diesel: Oscar winner Helen Mirren (“The Queen”) has been on board as Deckard Shaw’s (Jason Statham) mother Magdalene since “Fast & Furious 8” and will be seen again in the ninth part. And finally, she can get behind the wheel of a car herself – just as she wanted from the start.
“It’s so great,” said Diesel. “She can drive and she can drive smoothly.” How that will look in the finished film, fans in this country will find out from May 27, 2021, because then “Fast & Furious 9” will start in Indian cinemas- provided the corona crisis doesn’t put a spanner in the works.
