Haikyuu Season 6 Release Date: Everything You Need TO Know
4 min readHaikyuu season 6 is eagerly anticipated by fans, and with season 6 rumors circulating, let’s take a look at the essential details for the new season.
Haikyuu, which translates to “volleyball” in Japanese, is one of the most popular sports anime in recent years. Haruichi Furudate wrote it, and Production I.G. adapted it. It’s about Shoyo Hinata, a young boy who decided he was destined to be the next Little Giant of Karasuno after seeing a short high schooler from the Karasuno High School Volleyball Team. He forms a team and enters a local tournament, but is easily defeated by Tobio Kageyama, the “King of Court.”
He joins Karasuno High School after passing his exams and discovers that he has a new teammate in Kageyama, an old enemy. Kageyama notices Hinata’s ability to hit the ball at inhuman speeds, and thus the infamous super quick is born. The show takes this as a starting point and expands on many aspects of friendship, training, and rivalry.
When will Haikyuu Season 6 be released?
There has been no official announcement regarding the release date of Haikyuu Season 6. Let us reiterate that Production I.G has made no official announcement regarding the renewal of the Haikyuu Anime Series’ next installment, Haikyuu Season 5. There have been four seasons released so far. From 2014 to 2016, the first three seasons were released in order. The fourth season of Haikyuu, on the other hand, was split into two volumes. The first installment was released in early 2020, and the second installment was released in October 2020.
Some fans may be confused about the season order now, especially with the release of Haikyuu season 4. From season 1 to season 3, the series was released back-to-back. However, Haikyuu Season 4 was split into two volumes. The first volume will air in January 2020, followed by the second in October 2020. As a result, many fans believe that volume two is Haikyuu Season 5, but it is not.
What Can We Expect From Haikyuu Season 5?
Season 5 will most likely pick up where Season 4 left off. Karasuno High School and Inarizaki School square off on the court by the end of Haikyuu Season 4. Karasuno wins the exhausting match between the two schools and advances to the third round of the Spring Tournament.
The final episode of Season 4 features an emotional victory from all team members as they get closer to the Spring Tournament finale. This will be carried over into Season 5. Karasuno High will be stronger after a short break that everyone deserves. We might even see one of the anticipated clashes between Karasuno High School and Nekoma High School.
Who Will Appear In Haikyuu Season 5?
Shoyo Hinata, played by Kenta Sauga, Tobio Kageyama, played by Kaito Ishikawa, Yuu Nishinoya, played by Nobuhiko Okamoto, Tooru Oikawa, played by Daisuke Namikawa, and Kenma Kozume, played by Yuki Kaji, will be introduced in Season 5. Atsuma Miya, Ryunosuke Tanaka, Tanji Washijo, Hisashi Kinoshita, Aran Ojiro, and others are also expected to appear. Even though there has been no word on a release date for Haikyuu Season 5.
