Dr. Stone Season 3 Officially Confirmed: Expected Release Date, Plot & Cast

Good news for anime fans! The third season of the famous anime series Dr. Stone is now confirmed with the release of a new trailer. Based on a manga of the same name it is written by Riichiro Inagaki. The earlier seasons of this series produced by TMS Entertainment have received good reviews. Let’s see when Dr. Stone Season 3 will gonna release and what to expect.
It is streamed by Crunchyroll and its English dub was aired on Adult Swim’s Toonami block on May 16, 2021.
Dr. Stone Plot-
It is the story of, Senku Ishigami who wakes up several thousand years after an apocalypse. He is a genius and through his scientific measures, he awakens his friends, Taiju Oki and Yuzuhira. They see that all of humanity has turned into stones and the reason behind it is still a mystery. They move on with the motive to rebuild the extinct human civilization.
In the first season we see that after Senku awakens the evil Tsukasa, he moves to a village called Ishigami. There the natives have no idea about their world which means that they were born after the apocalypse. Senku forms his kingdom of science there to save humanity. However, the plot is filled with twists and turns and villains as the series proceeds.
In the second, there is a clash between Senku’s kingdom of science and Tsukasa’s kingdom. Then a war happens between the both. It was clear that there will be a season three from the note on which the second season ended.
The manga-
The manga that it is based on is widely popular and has sold around 10 million copies worldwide. Currently, it has 22 volumes while seasons 1 and 2 have covered almost 10 volumes. This means that there will at least be two more seasons. More seasons may be made considering that the manga is still continuing.

In season two Tsukasa finally realizes his mistakes and joins Senku, this means Senku will be going on new adventures to save humanity in season 3. We will see him beginning his sea voyages. The name of this season is not yet confirmed.
The show debuted in July 2019 with season 1. Season two was announced shortly after season one and it was released in January 2021. By noticing the release pattern we can say that the third season may come in April 2022. Although an official statement regarding the release date has not been issued yet. It is also speculated that season 3 may have 22-25 episodes and will be released in two parts, each part with 12-13 episodes.

Besides these, will be a new character, Ryusui Nanami. However, the actor for this role is not confirmed yet.
