Demon Slayer Season 2 Coming This October, What to Expect? Where to Watch?

Ufotable has announced the release of ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2′. The anime has been one of the most anticipated anime series of the past years.
The first season of Demon Slayer has won the Best Anime Award in the 2019 Newtype Anime Awards and also has also got the title of ‘Anime of the Year” in the 2020 Crunchyroll Anime Awards. Moreover, its sequel movie ‘Mugen Train’ was a blockbuster and broke all the records. It has also become the highest-grossing movie of 2020 internationally. With this, the announcement of Ufotable regarding the release date of Demon Slayer Season 2 has made the people excited. However, there is some news that has confused the fans.
Demon Slayer Season 2: Release Date
Ufotable has announced that Season 2 will release on 10 October 2021. This season will re-adapt the Mugen Train movie. Earlier, the makers confirmed the release of Season 2 in 2021 during ‘Demon Slayer Matsuri Online -Anime 2nd Anniversary Festival’.
However, the confusion is regarding the theme. It was announced that the first seven episodes of the second season will be re-adapted from the Mugen Train movie. So, these episodes will have original content and will revolve around Rengouku as he traveled toward Mugen Train. But, the remaining episodes will be based on the 2020 feature film.
After that the story i.e. The Entertainment District Arc will continue and it will premiere on 5th December 2021. And, this will be a special broadcast for one hour. They have confirmed that the episodes will release on Fuji in Japan at 11:15 PM. However, in the remaining countries, time is yet to confirm.
Demon Slayer Season 2’s Plot
As already mentioned, the first seven episodes will be based on Mugen Train. Then on 5th December, the further story will continue on the basis of ‘Entertainment District Arc’. The latter covers Chapters 70 to 99 of the manga series.
According to the plot, when the news of Demons will spread and the people will get to know about it, Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu will join Sound Hashira (Tengen Uzui) in a mission. The mission will be on Yoshiwara. Moreover, the series is based on original content. So, you can predict the plot from there.
Where to watch Season 2?
You can watch season 2 of Demon Slayer on Funimation as it is confirmed. However, Crunchyroll and Hulu have not yet confirmed but they will surely do as Season 1 came also on air on these platforms. However, there are chances that Funimation will buy all the rights considering the huge popularity of the series. But, one thing is confirmed that the second season will not come on Amazon Prime or Toonami.
