Who Arrested Jermall Charlo?
The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that Jermall Charlo was sentenced to prison. After he assaulted a household member after having a previous conviction as per TMZ Sports. Professional boxer Javier Hernandez, 31, was detained on Friday night, Feb. 11. There are reports that Jermall’s arrest is associated with an incident from September 21, 2021. He is alleged to have struck or grabbed a man.
An official document states that the man was injured during the alleged altercation. It is believed that the man was a member of Charlo’s “family or household”.
According to TMZ, details of the allegations against the boxer are unclear. For the second time in his life, Jermall has been caught in legal trouble. A bar fight with a waitress accused Jermall of stealing from her during a dispute in August 2021 in San Antonio. Due to a lack of evidence in the records, the case was later dismissed. During a dispute over his bill in a sports restaurant in July, San Antonio, TX, authorities dismissed all robbery charges against him.”
His dispute was about whether or not his credit card had been declined, and whether or not he had physically grabbed the waitress to retrieve his card. A statement made by Charlo’s attorney maintained that witnesses were present who disputed the restaurant’s account of the robbery. Charlo also presented video evidence supporting his story.
Jermall’s attorney, believes video and witnesses from the bar show he did nothing wrong
Kent A Schaffer, Jermall’s attorney, said on TMZ Sports that he believes the video and trial witnesses proved that Jermall Charlo didn’t do anything wrong. In the end, the police turned over tapes showing the witness statements to be accurate, Schaffer said. In this nightclub, Jermall neither robbed anyone nor threatened anyone with force. We have been saying this all along and he did nothing wrong.
The WBC middleweight title was won by Jermall Charlo in 2019 as well as world championships in two weight classes. The IBF light middleweight title was previously held by him from 2015 to 2016. A boxing twin brother of Jermell’s, he holds the unified light middleweight world championship.
