Yung Lean started making headlines for reasons other than rapping. Kanye West shared a picture of Yung Lean with some of the global stars at his party in LA. As a result, Netizens took to Twitter to troll him for the same.

Netizens Not Happy With Yung Lean

According to reports, Kanye West held a listening party for the sequel to Donda in Malibu, Los Angeles on Monday. Some close friends of Kanye, who also happen to be global stars attended the party as well. Among the guests, there was a new face at the party. Yung Lean, the 25-year-old TikTok rapper who rose to fame with the track “Ginseng Strip 2002” also made it to the party. Moreover, some other notable names include Offset, Kendall Jenner, and French Montana.

However, his presence in the party sent Twitter to a meltdown. Kanye West shared a picture with Yung Lean hanging out with Travis Scott, Baby Keem, and foe-turned-friend Drake. Kanye West posted a screenshot from Our Generation Music’s Instagram page that exploded social media. However, Yung Lean was widely trolled for being the “TikTok rapper” hanging out with global stars. Moreover, Yung Lean took to Instagram to share the viral pic as well. He captioned the photo as “New Beatles”.

Netizens on Twitter don’t seem happy about the rapper sharing the frame with them. One of the tweets even read that TikTok rappers seem to be getting out of hand.

Yung Lean – A Little Insight

Yung Lean is a Swedish singer and songwriter whose real name is Jonatan Aron Leandoer Hastad. He was born in Minsk and spent his early childhood there. After a few years, his family moved to Sweden and settled in Stockholm. The rapper was fond of hip-hop music and  50 Cent’s Get Rich or Die Tryin’, The Latin Kings’s Mitt Kvarter and Nas’s Illmatic were his favorites.

He began his career in 2012 when he met  Yung Sherman and Yung Gud in a local Stockholm park who enjoyed having the same taste in music. They joined the Hasch Boys, which later disbanded. Following this, the trio started their own band called the “Sad Boys. Yung Gud and Yung Sherman would produce and mix music. YungLean, on the other hand, wrote lyrics and recorded vocals in a makeshift studio in his basement. Lean began to generate a large following on SoundCloud and Tumblr, where they shared their music. The trio had their first show in 2013.

It was Yung Lean’s song “Ginseng Strip 2002”, which became a YouTube hit in 2013. It even made him one of the most influential figures in the early cloud rap era. Later that year, he released his first mixtape, Unknown Death 2002, and he followed that up with his debut studio album, Unknown Memory.
