As he awaits trial in the murder case against him, YFN Lucci wants to get out of jail. Keeping him behind bars might result in his death, the rapper fears.

Several new court documents indicate that Lucci claims a fellow inmate stabbed him last month at the Fulton County Jail. According to him, there was a bounty on his head among the prisoners.

Documents obtained by TMZ report that the singer was stabbed from behind while outside on a video call with someone. His injuries were caused by the use of a homemade shank by another inmate.

In the aftermath of the alleged stabbing incident on February 9, 2022, the artist reported that a price was placed on his head and that if he were still held in custody, he would be in danger.

He has now requested a bond from the judge in order to be released from prison. If he is released, he said he would wear a monitoring device. He also said he is ready to accept 24-hour home confinement.

The reasons for YFN Lucci’s sentence

YFN Lucci’s arrest warrants were issued in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2021. The 28-year-old man was killed and another injured in a shooting in December 2020.

Apart from being a suspect in the shooting, he was also charged with aggravated assault and participation in criminal street gang activity. The songwriter was then arrested on January 13, 2021, where he turned himself in to the police.

He was then released on house arrest after posting a $500,000 bond on February 8, 2021.

In addition to the 31-year-old, 12 other suspects are charged in the 105-count RICO indictment. Among them are racketeering, violation of anti-gang laws, and armed crime in possession of a firearm.

Lucci was reportedly a member of the Blood faction, according to the Atlanta Police Department. A Fulton County judge denied him a bond on June 1, 2021, after his attorney denied the charges.
