XXXTentacion murder suspect takes a guilty plea and will testify against co-defendants

One of the convicts suspected to be involved in the XXXTentacion murder case had recently pleaded guilty.

One of XXXTentacion’s murder suspects plead guilty

On the 12th of August Friday, Attorney Jim Lewis announced that Robert Allen has accepted a plea deal. He added that Allen has, ‘pled to a lesser included offense of second-degree murder and robbery with a firearm.’

Lewis further told NBC Miami, ‘Mr. Allen entered a guilty plea this morning in the murder death of XXXTentacion.’

He continued by mentioning, ‘[Allen] still faces a life sentence. Obviously, we are hoping for better than that. But his sentence is deferred and it is likely he will be called as a witness in the case against the other three co-defendants.’

Lewis claimed that Allen’s role was less in the murder of hip-hop star XXXTentacion.

According to the lawyer, Allen, ‘certainly never got out of the car, never had a gun, never shot anybody. And hopefully, the judge and the State will take this into consideration.’

Broward County Judge Michael Usan is scheduled to announce Allen’s sentence on 23rd February 2023.

Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy who was popularly recognized as XXXTentacion was shot to death on 18th June 2018. The incident took place in Deerfield Beach located in Florida.

According to witness reports, the rapper was visiting Riva Motorsports when two guys approached his vehicle. Moreover, words were exchanged between them which was promptly followed by gunfire.

In addition, someone claimed that one of those assailants reached inside the Look at Me singer’s BMW and retrieved a bag. They took the bag and fled from the scene.

Nevertheless, prosecutors have claimed that XXXTentacion was killed after a botched robbery.

It was reported that the Sad! artist made a pit stop at a bank before going to the motorsports shop. He supposedly withdrew roughly $50 thousand cash. The authorities’ opinion on this speculation remains unclear as of now.

Meanwhile, four suspects were charged with the late singer’s murder. The other three, Michael Boatwright, Dedrick Williams, and Trayvon Newsome will most likely face capital murder.

Williams was taken into custody two days following the incident while Boatwright and Allen were arrested in the upcoming few weeks. Newsome was captured by the cops in the next month. 

Meanwhile, Hulu dropped a documentary based on the rapper’s life this year in May. They titled it, Look At Me: XXXTENTACION.
