xQc Accuses m0NESY of Using Pixel Glitch at CS2 Esports World Cup 2024 Grand Final.

Prominent streamer Felix “xQc” has stirred controversy with allegations against G2 Esports’ AWPer, Ilya “m0NESY,” during the Counter-Strike 2 Esports World Cup 2024 Grand Final. The claims emerged during xQc’s July 21, 2024, livestream, where he reviewed the heated match between G2 Esports and NaVi.

The incident in question took place around the two-hour mark of xQc’s broadcast, as the teams battled on the Ancient CS2 map. In round 18 of the series, G2 led NaVi with a score of 9-8. xQc focused on a pivotal moment when m0NESY sniped NaVi’s Justinas “jL” on a staircase near the B bombsite. Notably, xQc identified a small hole in the staircase that he believed gave m0NESY an unfair advantage by revealing jL’s position.

During the stream, xQc scrutinized the footage, pointing out the hole that allegedly exposed jL’s movements. He expressed his disbelief that the glitch still existed in Counter-Strike 2, commenting:

“It still works? Holy s**t! But that works against him because he was locked in, he didn’t… guys, we were wondering why he peeked so late and why he moved so weirdly at the top because he was locked on the pixel, he wasn’t ready for the shot at the top! Because he (m0NESY) thought he (jL) was going to walk through slowly. Look!”

To substantiate his claims, xQc replayed the video in slow motion, highlighting how the pixel color inside the small hole changed as jL moved:

“Look at this very pixel over there. Look at his lock-in at jL on this one pixel right there. Look! It changes color. Dude! It does, though!”

At the two-hour-three-minute mark, xQc delved deeper into his investigation, asserting that m0NESY’s shot was facilitated by this pixel glitch. He elaborated on his findings, stating:

“Yo, I have actually investigated. Do you remember earlier when he peeked, right? And we were like, ‘Dude?’ It’s because he was using the pixel and he was completely locked in. He thought he was going to walk through, and he wasn’t ready for the shot.”

The allegations quickly gained traction, sparking a debate within the CS2 community. Fans and analysts are divided, with some supporting xQc’s claims while others defend m0NESY’s integrity.

One X user, @csgoAnalyst, shared their skepticism: “If this pixel glitch is real, it needs to be addressed immediately. But let’s not jump to conclusions without thorough evidence.”

Another user, @esportsFanatic, defended m0NESY: “m0NESY is a skilled player. This sounds like an overreaction from xQc. Let’s wait for an official investigation.”

The implications of xQc’s accusations could have significant consequences for competitive integrity in CS2. If proven true, it raises questions about the game’s current state and the fairness of its competitive environment. As the community awaits an official response from G2 Esports and tournament organizers, this incident underscores the ongoing challenges in maintaining transparency and fairness in esports.

For now, the debate rages on, with xQc’s claims adding another layer of drama to an already intense CS2 Esports World Cup 2024 Grand Final.
