Following five years of marriage, Tommy Dorfman and Peter Zurkuhlen have asked for a divorce. This is shortly after the actor came over as a transgender woman.
The Founder & CEO of ChipChop Holdings asked for a divorce in Los Angeles on Tuesday. According to new legal papers uncovered by the media. The latter couple first met at a common friend’s housewarming celebration. They later decided to get married in April 2015. And married the subsequent year. When Tommy, 29, come out as transsexual in July, she also stated that her connection with Zurkuhlen had developed.

Tommy Dorfman states ‘It’s amusing to consider stepping out as I’ve never gone anyplace. “I regard it as just a reintroduction to me more than a female, having made a medical transition.”
‘Breaking out to the public is always regarded as this huge disclosure, but I was never not out,’ Dorfman remarked. Today is about being clear regarding who I am: I am a transgender woman. She/her remains my pronouns. ‘My name is Tommy, and I’d want to introduce myself.’

There has been no statement from the side of Peter Zurkuhlen. But he is the first one to step out of the marriage and file for divorce. Tommy Dorfman further states that:
‘However, as a media personality, I’ve realized that refusing to answer might deprive me of my ability. To manage my own perspective’. ‘There’s been a lot of discussion regarding my appearance. As a result of this medical transformation, it started to feel overpowering.’
The actress revealed that she considered taking an alternative approach to openly stepping out. Such as leaving for two years and reappearing ‘with a new name, fresh face, and new structure’. Tommy Dorfman stated that it was something she can not manage to do. She did not want to hide or escape reality.
