Cheryl Burke is to divorce Matthew Lawrence after nearly 3 years of marriage.
Following almost three years of marriage, the ‘Dancing With The Stars’ pro-dancer filed for divorce from her husband ‘Boy Meets World’ star. Cheryl Burke age 37 filed divorce papers in Los Angeles Superior Court. Dated February 18, 2022, citing incompatible disagreements as to the cause for the break. Cheryl Lawrence and Matthew Lawrence married in 2019.
The two-time winner of the ABC dancing championship show had already been apart for almost a month. According to court filings, the date of divorce was in records as of January 7. As per the paperwork, the 37-year-old request that spousal support should not be there. Claiming a prenup written just days before their wedding on May 20, 2019. There are no kids between the two of them.

Cheryl and Matthew met for the first time of ‘Dancing With The Stars’ in 2006. Once the actor’s elder brother, Joey Lawrence, had been a participant on the show. In February 2007, the two started a relationship and parted up the following year. In 2017, the two reunited and resumed their relationship after nine years apart. Matthew proposed to Cheryl there at Montage Laguna Beach in May 2018. Further, the couple married the very next year on May 23. While Cheryl Burke and Matthew Lawrence didn’t have any children together, the duo were proud parents to many pets.
“There has been an immediate appeal. Although we were really young at the time. Cheryl earlier stated in a 2019 media appearance, “The marriage was indeed a dreamlike pleasure”. Matthew remarked of the ceremony, later adding, “I feel like one of the luckiest men on the earth”. Further, Cheryl adds, “It’s bittersweet but I’m so sad that it is going to end. It’s both peaceful and energizing. This, I believe, is simply what we need to occur.”

In an appearance with Good Morning America in 2020. Cheryl, who battles from tendonitis, acknowledged Matthew being her “pillar” in her recovery struggle. “I don’t know where I’ve been without him,” Cheryl said. It’s also critical for me to be around the people who share my ideas. “I realized that my circle of mates has transformed since my boozing days to so far,” she continued. I have significantly fewer friendships, but they are a lot more compelling.”
In a YouTube video from 2020, Cheryl chatted over her connection with the 42-year-old actor. “I genuinely believe that when we initially dated. I didn’t genuinely love myself to just believe that I deserve to be around somebody who was truly lovely to me,” she admitted. She went on to say that the ‘Mrs. Doubtfire’ actor was indeed the polar reverse of anything and everything she disliked about her previous partners. She is glad and grateful that perhaps destiny got him again into her path when she became ready.
