A terrifying shooting took place at Oxford High School, Michigan. A 15-year-old teenager, Ethan Crumbley, was summoned for recklessly killing four students and injuring seven other students including one teacher, who was the only adult in the incident. According to authorities, the shooting was intentional and well planned according to the videos on the cell phone and a journal. Out of grief, students and community members of the school have prompted a memorial outside the high school.

The shooting took place in the Oxford High School on Tuesday morning. The suspect and student, Ethan Crumbley behaved weirdly in the school for the past few weeks and called for a meeting twice this week. Due to this reason, his parents were called to the school to meet the authorities to find out the reason behind such behavior. Was he bullied or faced any issue in the school? But there was nothing like this according to Sheriff Bouchard. After three hours of the meeting, Ethan Crumbley walked into the school bathroom holding a handgun and started firing recklessly. This killed four students and injured seven others.
According to authorities, his parents were also involved as his father bought four days earlier. The videos and journals that were found were used as pieces of evidence that mentioned that the attack was deliberate action and he desired to shoot up the school according to authorities. Marc Keast, who was an Oakland County lawyer informed the judge that the defendant planned the shooting. Two videos of Ethan Crumbley from the cell phone were recovered in which he admitted his desire to shoot up the school the night before the attack. The attack by Ethan was random and had no specific target according to investigations by the officials. Ethan was locked up in juvenile jail, but the judge ordered that he should be moved to adult jail and in isolation with no contact with any adult.

The students who were killed and injured range between 14 to 17-year-old, Two of the students who got injured remained in critical condition. The teacher who got injured was discharged on Tuesday from the hospital. The charges on the suspect include terrorism and four counts of first-degree murder. Not just because of mass shootings but also due to the trauma that hundreds of students will suffer due to gunshots, hid under desks, and locked classrooms as per Karen D McDonald, The Oakland County prosecutor.
She also appealed about the strictness and changes in Michigan’s gun laws. Ethan Crumbley was charged with seven counts of assault with intent to murder and 12 counts of illegal possession of a firearm. Students, families, school authorities, officials mourned for the victims on Wednesday. This year, there have been in total 29 shootings at the school property mostly without any fatalities. Karen D. McDonald, who is an elected democrat shared details about the victims also. She said one was an athlete, a big sister, an honor student, and a joyful kid. One of the students who survived the shooting, Joyeux Times, 16-year-old, said it was a nightmare for him. He never heard a gunshot before in his life.
Who was Tate Myre?
Tate Myre, 16-year-old, an athlete, died in a sheriff’s squad car while rushing to the hospital. Tate had a position of linebacker and tight end in the school’s football team. Recently, Tate Myre received an all-region award from the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association. Till Wednesday, there was an online petition about renaming the school’s stadium in honor of Tate Myre. The petition had more than 67, 000 signatures on it. Tate Myre was a student who was incredibly well-liked by his classmates and described as funny and intelligent.
Who was Madisyn Baldwin?
Madisyn Baldwin, 17-year-old, was a big sister and a talented girl as described by the prosecutor. Madisyn’s grandmother, Jennifer Mosqueda stated that her family has no words. And the day, when her granddaughter was shot, was unbelievable for everyone. Madisyn Baldwin, according to the GoFundMe page was a beautiful, smart, and sweet-loving girl. Justin Shilling
Justin Shilling, a 17-year-old, passed away at 10 AM according to Sheriff in McLaren Oakland Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan. Shilling was a golfer and Boy’s Bowling team’s co-captain at the school as the prosecutor informed.
Hana St. Juliana
Hana St. Juliana, 14-year-old, was the youngest victim in the incident. Hana was a freshman on the volleyball team. She was also part of the basketball team. Her parents described her as the happiest and most joyful kid.
