A renowned actor Jack Hedley passes away at the age of 92. Actor Jack Hedley passed away on December 11. The cause of death is due to a short illness. However, it is related to Covid 19 or something else that isn’t clear yet. No funeral will be held for the Lawrence of Arabia actor on his request before closing his eyes. Jack Hedley’s Acting Career
Jack started his acting career in 1950. The 99 acting credits star’s journey expands for an impressive five decades along with his theatre appearances and TV shows as well.
His TV appearance began with a series in 1957 known as The Buccaneers. Jack went on to star in shows known as White Hunter, The Third Man, No Hiding Place, Fair Game, etc. He also starred in the BBC series The world of Tim Frazer and Gideon’s way w here he played the part of bruce Carroway. He was a familiar face of Television Screens in the 1980s and 90s with shows like Only Fools and Horse, Space Precinct, Colditz, etc.
Coming to the 1960s, he appeared in films like The Scarlet Blade, Witchcraft, and the Secret of Blood Island and parts in Trouble in the Sky and Make Mine Mink. He also starred in the James Bond film For Your Eyes Only with the prominent role of Carole Bouquet’s father Sir Timothy Havelock in 1981. He played the part of a reporter at a funeral in Peter O’Toole epic Lawrence of Arabia.

Jack Hedley, the original name Jack Hawkins was born in 1930. He changed his name before starting his career in acting to avoid having the same name as an actor at the time to avoid confusion.
His initial job was as a Marine commando where he served for 8-years. He eventually became a lieutenant but had to discontinue his position as he was shot twice in the leg. Hedley worked in the business with his mother for almost 18 months after that, helping her. After that, he auditioned for an acting course at RADA. Jack finished his diploma in 1957
During his lifetime Hedley married thrice. He got married first to Jean Fraser in 1965 and got divorced in 1984. His second partner was with Elspeth, whom he married in 1986. They got divorced later on. He finally got married to Alex in 2000.
