In the year 2020, a child’s remains were found in Oregon. All the remains were inside a duffel bag and at that time the identification of the girl was unknown.
But recently the cops have achieved success in finding the identification of that child who is a 9-year-old girl. With the help of proper investigation, the details about the child’s mother have been found.
As per sources, her mother and her mother’s girlfriend will be charged with committing aggravated murder. The name of that girl was identified as Haley Mae Coblentz by the Oregon State Police and was informed to the press.
Details of the Mother of the Child
Haley Mae Coblentz belongs from Colorado where she had been residing with her mother and her mother’s girlfriend. They did not have a stable place to live therefore they used to live at multiple places in Oregon
Haley’s mother’s name is Shawna Browning who is a 29-year-old woman, whereas the girlfriend of her mother is a 34-year-old lady, whose name is Lauren Harrison. On 30th November, both of them were arrested from Detroit, Mich. As per the statement of police, a warrant has been charged on their vehicle and hotel room by the investigators.
Haley Mae Coblentz’s Body Found
On 10th December 2020, the body of Haley Mae Coblentz was found near the rest area of a forest, H.B. Van Duzer Forest State Scenic Corridor which is a driving route on the western side of Oregon.
As per reports, her body was decomposed in such a manner that experts have assumed that she might have died 30 to 60 days back. This assumption is made from the day when her body was discovered in the forest.
The remains of her body were sent to the laboratory for DNA testing so that it would help in the investigation of the child’s identity.
During the whole investigation for Haley Mae Coblentz’s case, the Oregon State Police were working in a partnership with the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). They also took the help of the DNA data, which ruled out above 60 missing kids in the country.
Both the parents of Haley Mae Coblentz, Shawna Browning, and Lauren Harrison, are currently held in Wayne County, Mich. They have not been offered bail, to date. Currently, we do not have any official information for the extradition of the suspects to Oregon.
