19-year-old Grammy winner, Billie Eilish, shocks her fans by going back to her roots and turning her hair brunette. Billie has previously been seen experimenting with neons, pastels, and even two tones tresses in the past and has rocked each look.
Billie’s Hair Colour Announcement
Billie Eilish, better known for her song “Bad Guy”, turned her hair blonde earlier this year but decided to go back to her roots and go brunette.
She first announced her change via Instagram Story, she wrote “Guess what” along with a close-up of her eyes and dark bangs. Shortly after, Billie went on to upload a full selfie showing off her new look, cropped ‘do, captioning the snap, “Miss me?”
Some of the singer’s famous friends soon responded to her look with comments like:
Olivia Rodrigo wrote “OMG” while Claudia Sulewski said – who’s dating the Eilish’s brother Finneas — commenting “Insane.”
Billie’s Love For Blond
According to Billie, she first wanted to go blond after seeing a fan edit of her in which her then Green and black hair were edited to be blond.
As much as Billie loved her green-black hair, her transformation to blonde became a must for her ever since she saw the fan edit. Billie also said “I thought of it as a dream. I didn’t think it was going to happen because my hair has been through so much. I thought I would burn it off if I tried. But I did it!”
Billie’s love for blonde was true as she took the risk even after knowing the transition from dark to light hair was very hard. She changed her hair color over a period of 6 weeks starting 16th
Recently, the singer also shared that she transformed to blond as her black-green hair was extremely recognizable and she couldn’t go anywhere. She also added “I wanted anonymity…I was terrified of the paparazzi and these stalkers I’ve had.”
Billie’s transformation to blonde was deeply loved by her fans, so much so that her Instagram post revealing the change became the fastest post to reach one million likes on the social media platform. Today, the image has over 23 million likes.
Billie’s love for hair color and her experiment with colors is understandable as she ends up looking great each time.
