On December 8, Amy Schneider revealed that she and her girlfriend, Genevieve, are in a relationship.

In her Tweets, Amy described the moment she saw Genevieve as “love at first sight,” a moment she knew would last a lifetime.

Who is Amy Schneider?

Amy was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. She spent the first 30 years of her life there. Following her graduation from the University of Dayton, she worked for several years in the banking industry.

Amy revealed that she is currently in a relationship with her girlfriend, Genevieve, in a tweet she shared on December 8th.

Among Amy’s friends, one of them introduced her to her girlfriend. Her girlfriend is Genevieve, the sister of the boyfriend of one of Amy’s friends.

Amy wrote that she and her girlfriend only started dating in February 2021 for various reasons, but that time they spent together as friends were really valuable, and they both thought the future would be bright.

Lastly, in March, Meep, a kitten, was adopted by the couple to complete their family.

Does Amy have a previous marriage?

Her previous marriage was also revealed in the same thread of tweets.

It was during the performance of Taming of the Shrew that she met her former spouse. After moving to Oakland in 2009, she pursued her dreams of being a comedian.

She was a theater major, and interested in standup comedy, so we needed to move to a major city for her to pursue that. We visited some friends who were attending Berkeley, and fell in love with the Bay Area. So we moved to Oakland in 2009, and I, for one, never want to leave!

She has not specified the reason for her and her wife’s separation, but the two split in 2016.

She revealed in a tweet that when she realized that she was trans in the year 2016. But even before that, she said she was living a lie and finally in 2016 she revealed her true self.

Now, when I say I realized I was trans in 2016, I'm simplifying a process that in some ways had been going on my whole life, and certainly since 2011 or so, but 2016 was when I finally realized that I was living a lie, and began to let my true self show.
