Well, the entire incident began when Alex Blackburn wrote on an Instagram post about the abuse, she was experiencing in 2019. In 2019, Blackburn got pregnant with Dyson’s child. In her Instagram post, she spoke about the abuse women face and the issues she was going through. However, Alex did not mention Sam Dyson’s name on the post.
When Alex Blackburn told Sam Dyson about her pregnancy, he reacted angrily. Sam became violent and spat on her face. He even smashed her face against the wall. The smashing caused Alex to lose her tooth and some inner ear injuries. Furthermore, Alex said to Dailynews.com that Sam threatened her to abort the child. Dyson offered her $5,000 for the abortion and told her that he would tell Alex’s ill Grandfather about the pregnancy, causing him trouble because Alex is not married to Dyson and this news would make her grandfather upset.

However, Sam Dyson, in his defense called Alex with wrong names and spoke ill about her. He mentioned her as a ‘wh*re’ and also said that she has had many sexual partners. Somehow, after asking Alex Blackburn to abort the child, Dyson told her that he always wanted to have sex with a pregnant woman, when she refused, he battered her and abused her. Blackburn expressed that Sam was very violent and what she was facing was not just physical abuse, but much more than that.
In 2016, allegations on Sam were made, which said that he tripped Alex Blackburn in the bathtub and abused her. Later, in 2017, the official reports said that Sam gave racist names to his baseball teammates. He even called them with ‘N-words’ and said that they were ‘poor Mexicans’. Eventually, this led to the 33-year-old baseball pitcher getting suspended.
