Dr. Oz and Wife Lisa Criticize Journalist Olivia Nuzzi as She Inadvertently Heard Their Conversation

Olivia Nuzzi in a profile of Dr. Oz in New York Magazine included a transcript of the call that she inadvertently heard. Dr Mehmet Oz is running for Senate in Pennsylvania. Olivia Nuzzi, a New York Magazine reporter tried to do a profile on Dr Oz. As a result, she had to face a lot of difficulties. Although Nuzzi managed to write and publish the profile. According to the reports, when Dr. Oz was contacted by Olivia Nuzzi by phone, his wife picked up the call but she hang up the call within seconds. His wife’s name is Lisa Oz.
However, Nuzzi called her back again. But this time things went wrong. The conversation between them got all heated. Nuzzi described the conversation in her article. The journalist wrote, “How did you get my number?’ she asked sharply. I told her that her number was listed in public records, and this annoyed her too. ‘Oh,’ she said, ‘I should have gotten rid of that.’ I was about to explain that public records don’t work that way, but she cut in. ‘Have a nice day,’ she said, but it sounded like a cross between the way women of the South say ‘Bless your heart’ and men of Brooklyn call some asshole ‘pal’ after being cut off in traffic. Then she hung up.”
After the heated argument, Lisa Oz’s call did not get disconnected. Olivia Nuzzi further told, “ she had mistakenly connected her device to what sounded like the sound system of a vehicle, meaning that as they engaged in paranoid conversation and argument for more than four minutes, I remained on the line, hearing every word of it.” Nuzzi also included more details in her article that she heart afterward. Mrs Oz asked about who’s down at the office? Dr Oz responded, “She is down at the office.”
He said one last thing with sarcasm that is, “Your father called and said there’s a reporter from The New Yorker waiting for me down there who said she had an appointment … We?! We had an appointment to meet today!” Next, Mrs Oz asked that do he think she made it up? Mr Oz responded that he think she made it up completely. Mrs Oz said, “Y–y–you know what it’s — it’s — it’s called, it’s called lying also. It’s called being a liar.’ ‘This fcking girl reporter,”
