Wendy Williams reveals she has lymphedema
After her longtime talk show came to an end, Wendy Williams mentioned that she will not return to television shows.
She confirmed, ‘Excuse me, I am 100 percent retired from “The Wendy Williams Show”, and I do not want to be on television, except for guest hosting.’
While talking about her future planning, Williams confirmed that she is interested in launching her own podcast.
The TV star also said that she might start a sneakers line for people suffering from lymphedema, a medical condition she has battled for the last few years.
During the interview, Williams asked TMZ’s hosts Harvey Levin and Charles Latibeaudiere whether they knew of lymphedema.
When the anchors responded negatively, the personality had no trouble revealing her swollen feet on camera.
She said, ‘All right, you don’t know about lymphedema? All right, I’ll show you. Ok, lymphedema is this. Do you see this right here? Look. No, look closely.’
The 57-year-old star further added that she can only feel ‘five percent’ of her feet now.
Williams continued, ‘Do you see this? It’s up and down. I can only feel maybe five percent of my feet. Do you understand? Which means, normally, I would be in a wheelchair. I’m not in a wheelchair. I stand up.’

What is lymphedema?
Lymphedema is a medical condition that occurs when tissues in certain parts of the body swell up. This is caused by accumulated protein-rich fluid which blocks the lymphatic system.
As per reports by Mayo Clinic, the illness mostly is seen in the arms or legs. However, there are some cases where it may affect the chest wall, abdomen, or neck.
The most common symptoms include heavy swellings of arms or legs, a heavy feeling, and fibrosis.
