Wendy Williams Has Returned To Filming, But It Isn’t A Reality Show
Wendy Williams will make a comeback soon. Williams’ rep, Shawn Zanotti, told Page Six that Williams, who has been spotted filming a mystery project in New York City, is preparing to make a return. Zanotti asserted that her project will not take the form of a reality show. According to Zanotti, Wendy feels her best days in media following a long break. Since her early 20s, she has worked in media and wants to return to it. Getting back to what she loves is important to Williams, according to her rep. In fact, Wendy is currently filming…Yes, she is working on something that we can’t speak too much about at the moment. Since leaving “The Wendy Williams Show” last year due to health issues, Zanotti told the outlet that the former TV host has worked on “several projects.” A representative gave an update on Williams’ podcast, which is still in the works, but did not go into details about the other projects. A nearly 30-person crew was spotted accompanying Williams to a restaurant two months ago, prompting Zanotti’s latest statement.
An eyewitness told Page Six at the time that there were approximately 30 crew members who turned Fresco by Scotto into a movie set. [It] looked like a reality show with lights, cameras, audio, and producers. Wendy Williams was seen having dinner with a friend in one of the scenes. Insiders emphasized that Wendy greeted all guests like extras in her movie as she walked into the dining room. It was reported in June 2022 that Williams was “100% retired from ‘The Wendy Williams Show'” and did not want to conduct any more television shows. While Wendy Williams did not close the door completely on guest appearances on talk shows such as The View, she stated that she was open to it as well. After retiring from television, Williams announced she would launch her own podcast. I’ve got enough money to do something else and what I’ve never done – podcasting, says Wendy. Podcasting makes more money when you’re famous. For me, [it’ll make more money] than having a show.
