Why did Wendy Williams check into a rehab facility?

Shawn Zanotti broke the news in September 2022 about Wendy Williams’s stay in the treatment facility after she reportedly relapsed from alcohol.

He began with, ‘She is taking some time to focus on her health and wellness as she prepares for a major comeback for the next level in her career with The Wendy Experience podcast.’

Moreover, he continued, ‘Ms. Williams is being treated by a team of some of the best doctors in the world. We ask for your prayers and well wishes during this time.’

Subsequently, a source reported, ‘It’s gotten worse. She went from wine to straight-up vodka.’

According to certain media outlets, Williams’s addiction went downhill after The Wendy Williams Show production company, Debmar-Mercury ‘refused’ to get her the help and treatment she desperately needed.

An insider claimed, ‘They turned their backs on her. They had too much control over someone so vulnerable.’

In the meantime, Rosanna Scotto, the owner of Fresco by Scotto revealed that the former daytime talk show host plans to launch a restaurant with her help.

She mentioned at that time, ‘I don’t know if she wants me to waitress or what. But she did tell me she wants to open her restaurant and she wants me to help. If there is [a restaurant] from Wendy, it will be big competition but I love her.’
