From outside the barbershop, a surveillance footage video has been released. The rapper Kay Flock allegedly shot and killed a man. Thus, it appears to contradict the police’s account of how the confrontation began.
As per the footage, Flock was seen walking down the street with two young girls. Flock walks past what is believed to be the barbershop. After a few seconds, a man walks out of the barbershop who is believed to be a victim. The man walks in the same direction as Flock. There was no sound in the video.
However, after several seconds, by the possible gunshots, people appeared to be alert. People came out of the shops staring in the same direction where both the men walked.
More Details On the Case
The victim’s name was Oscar Hernandez. Also, the video contradicts reports from the police. That is, Kay Flock started an argument with the victim, Hernandez.
According to t the initial reports, Flock first walked into the barbershop. He asked Hernandez, “what are you looking at?”
This led the victim to come outside to confront Flock before being fatally shot.
Charges On Flock
Scott Leemon, Kay Flock’s Attorney has released a statement to XXL. The statement is about the current charges on rappers.
The statements are, “We have begun our investigation into these allegations. More importantly, considering the DA’s significant disclosure this morning that the NYPD received a tip saying someone else is the shooter, we demanded the DA’s office provide prompt disclosure of the videos referenced in the complaint and more information on the tip.”
It is still unclear about the reason behind the initial argument. The family of Hernandez believes it could be a case of mistaken identity. On the other hand, police surmise the situation to be gang-related.
This could be a downfall for Flock’s profession. Flock was beginning to gain recognition in New York’s drill scene. With the tracks like “Brotherly Love”, “Is Ya Ready” and “PSA”.
