Kate Dixon, The newly-crowned winner of the Miss Teen Washington USA title, who is slated to represent her state at the 2022 Miss Teen USA pageant, has come under fire for allegedly using the N-word. Kate Dixon, who is 17 years old at present, is facing immense backlash after an old video of her resurfaced on social media.

In the few-second-long clip, she uses the racial slur while people can be heard cheering in the background. The video is believed to be from three years ago when Dixon was only 14. 

TikTok user @juliuspleazerfanaccount shared a video of Dixon and her friends laughing in their car. “Gangster [N-word]”, she said as she gestured down at the camera. The racial slur was used by Dixon as he sat in the backseat and laughed. She and her friends also lip-synchronized to vulgar TikTok audio clips in a compilation video.

Several people demanded the teen beauty queen’s crown be revoked within hours of her victory, as she was unprepared for the outrage. More than 8.6 million people have seen the TikTok video with her.

Several social media users condemned the teen star, calling her actions ‘inexcusable’ and saying she should not be allowed to compete in the Miss Teen USA pageant. 

People React To The Resurfaced Footage Of The Newly Crowned Miss Teen Washington

The Twitter user shared the video, saying, “Friendly reminder that THIS is who just won the title of miss wa teen usa.” For years, comments like Kate Dixon’s have been overlooked, resulting in a lack of tolerance for racism.

TikTok users are expressing their belief that Dixon’s title should be revoked now that this clip has been resurfaced.

One viewer wrote, “I was a Pagent girl for three years…the crown should be given to the first runner up.”

A TikTok user commented, “Take her crown back.”.

TikTok users specifically mentioned @missteenusa’s account in the comments. One viewer wrote: “so y’all just let whoever is the best be miss teen.”

Dixon should face some type of punishment for using the n-word, according to others.
