A video of Ice Spice getting a lackluster reaction during a new show in Houston has reportedly gone viral. On 25th September, Ice Spice performed at Sekai in Houston. Video of the newbie Bronx, N.Y. rapper giving the crowd her debut single titled ‘Munch (Feelin’ U)’ was shared by TikTok user jsymoned. In the video, Ice Spice can be seen performing centerstage while a generally unenthused crowd watches on. Halfway through the video, she bends down and starts twerking, then gets back to trying to keep up with the backup track. Houston was a tough crowd for Ice Spice, jsymoned remarked on the clip posted.
The video has since gone viral and Ice Spice has been getting fire for the performance via social media. ‘NEVER attempt and play a show in Houston without a catalog lol, least 3 songs, one individual posted about the video on Twitter. Another person called out Ice Spice for twerking as opposed to rapping. Her signature move ain’t work she may be washed, he tweeted. Someone else wouldn’t base the fault for the little reaction exclusively on Ice Ice Spice’s performance. ‘Houston was certainly not an ‘extreme group’ for Ice Spice’ the Twitter user shared. ‘Southern individuals don’t like New York City drill music like that inclusive of myself. Ice Spice has seemed to answer the negative critiques of her set. On Friday, 30th September she shared a photograph on Twitter of herself in the club that night in Houston. She captioned the photograph, ‘Pretty paid and unbothered.’

Ice Spice has seemed to answer the negative critiques of her set. On Friday, she shared a photograph on Twitter of herself in the club that evening in Houston. She captioned the photograph, Pretty paid and unbothered. This is the second time somewhat recently Ice Spice has been called out for a subpar show. Over the weekend, Ice Spice performed at 2022 Rolling Loud New York during Fivio Foreign’s set. In a video of the performance, the rapper can be seen having difficulty keeping up with the backup track. Part of the way into the song, she abandoned all expectations and started twerking. Ice Spice has had a meteoric rise to popularity following the release of her single Munch (Feelin’ U) in August. Ice Spice will keep on testing her mettle on the road, with upcoming shows in Delaware, New York and New Jersey.
