Elon Musk’s daughter, Vivian Wilson, has publicly expressed her disapproval of her father following a controversial remark he made on X (formerly Twitter) regarding Taylor Swift. The tech mogul suggested in a tweet that he would “give Taylor Swift a child,” which was met with widespread criticism. Musk’s comment came after Swift voiced her support for Kamala Harris in the upcoming 2024 U.S. presidential election.

Vivian Wilson, who distanced herself from Musk after coming out as transgender in 2022, took to Threads on September 11 to share her thoughts. The 20-year-old did not hold back in condemning her father’s statement, calling it “heinous incel nonsense.” In her post, she wrote:
“I saw the ‘Tweet’. Heinous incel nonsense is in fact Heinous incel nonsense. I don’t really have anything to add, it’s just abhorrent.”

Vivian Wilson Speaks Out Against Musk

Before addressing Musk’s tweet directly, Vivian had already commented on Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Kamala Harris. She praised Swift for her support of the Vice President and encouraged others to vote. Vivian’s post on Threads read:
“The timing for the Taylor Swift endorsement of Kamala Harris honestly could not have been better. Can’t wait to see the Swifties at the polls! Vote blue.”

However, her tone shifted when she addressed her father’s tweet. Vivian labeled Musk’s comments as emblematic of “incel” behavior, referring to a subculture of men who express hostility toward women, particularly those they find unattainable. By using the term, she called attention to the deeper issue of misogyny in Musk’s post, further distancing herself from his actions.

In a follow-up statement, Vivian clarified that while she dislikes discussing such topics, she felt it was necessary to speak up. “I really am not the biggest fan of this subject. I am my own person with my own name after all. However, I just feel like that had to be said even if it’s incredibly self-evident. Cheers,” she wrote.

The Controversial Tweet That Sparked Backlash

The drama unfolded after Taylor Swift used Instagram to endorse Kamala Harris for the 2024 election. In her post, Swift offered her support for Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, signing off with the phrase “Childless Cat Lady,” a playful nod to Republican criticism from JD Vance, who once accused “childless cat ladies” in leadership roles of poor decision-making.

Elon Musk, an outspoken Trump supporter, responded to Swift’s endorsement with his controversial tweet:
“Fine Taylor…you win…I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life.”

This remark did not sit well with many, including Musk’s own daughter. The strained relationship between Musk and Vivian has been public knowledge for some time. In July, Musk publicly expressed regret over Vivian’s transition, stating that his daughter had been “killed by the woke-mind virus.” In 2022, Vivian legally changed her name and severed ties with Musk, choosing her mother’s surname, Wilson.

As the 2024 U.S. presidential election approaches, endorsements from public figures like Taylor Swift are expected to influence voter turnout significantly. Whether Musk’s comments will have any lasting impact remains to be seen, but for now, his relationship with his daughter continues to deteriorate.
