Twitch Drama: Kai Cenat Issues Ultimatum Over IShowSpeed’s Ban, Threatens to Leave Platform

IShowSpeed has been banned on Twitch for more than a year now and Kai Cenat has threatened to leave the platform too if the former isn’t unbanned. IShowSpeed was banned on Twitch and moved eventually to YouTube. On YouTube too gradually he gained millions of followers. But is he to get on Twitch back?

IShowSpeed’s ban on Twitch
Although IShowSpeed is one of the top streamers in the world. His ban on Twitch was something shocking for many. He was banned from the platform back in December of 2021 for an indefinite period. He had been banned by the platform on the grounds of “se*ual coercion or intimidation” back then.
IShowSpeed during a live stream of Adin Ross had made suggestive comments towards a female content creator. It’s been since then that IShowSpeed hasn’t got back to stream on Twitch as he was banned from the platform for an indefinite period. Though he is growing popular on YouTube right now.
Kai Cenat wants Twitch to remove the ban of IShowSpeed
Kai Cenat who is himself a popular streamer and a friend of IShowSpeed wants to have the latter back on Twitch. In fact, he even threatened to leave Twitch if the ban on IShowSpeed wasn’t removed. Not just that, he shared that he has asked Twitch’s CEO, Dan Clancy to remove the ban on IShowSpeed.

During a stream, Kai dealing with some technical problems with Twitch in frustration said “Twitch. If Speed doesn’t get unbanned I’m leaving”. He then added though “Nah I’m joking, I’m lying”. Surely it was through a way of sarcasm that Kai expressed that he wanted the ban on Speed to be removed.

If before December of this year, IShowSpeed doesn’t get unbanned on Twitch then it would be his second year staying banned on the platform. However, it looks like Kai and IShowSpeed too have been trying their luck to get the ban removed.

Even during the Streamy Awards 2023, both Kai and IShowSpeed have been trying to convince the CEO of Twitch in person. Though if that happens or not is yet to be known. Meanwhile, Kai on his Instagram story posted “If he don’t unban Speed, he’s done [sic]”.
