The topic of banned streamers has been a hot issue since Twitch began allowing appeals for permabanned users. During a recent discussion with streamer Agent00, Dan Clancy was asked about the possibility of Adin Ross being unbanned. Clancy acknowledged the complexity of such decisions and reiterated the importance of streamers adhering to the platform’s standards. “The biggest thing is making sure that when we let someone back on that they’re gonna behave in a way on our platform that is consistent with our guidelines,” Clancy stated
Dan Clancy further mentioned that Ross must convincingly show that his content has evolved to meet Twitch’s criteria. “I’ve heard a lot of folks say lots of things about Adin in how he’s evolving his content and changing it and whatnot, and the question is, ‘Okay, is that the case?’” he added.
When pressed on how Twitch evaluates these changes, Clancy opted not to provide specific details but cited JiDion as a successful example. JiDion’s account was reinstated after he made clear and consistent changes to his content, aligning with the platform’s policies.

Clancy also highlighted that behavior on other platforms could impact a streamer’s status on Twitch. He gave an example where a creator engaging in harmful activities, such as swatting another streamer on Twitter, could lead to a ban, regardless of their conduct on Twitch.
While there is no immediate resolution to Ross’ situation, Clancy’s comments suggest that Twitch is open to reinstating him if he can meet the necessary conditions. This reflects Twitch’s broader approach to maintaining a positive community environment while offering second chances to those who prove they have reformed.
For now, Adin Ross remains banned, and it’s up to him to demonstrate the required changes to potentially regain his place on Twitch.
