Transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney has finally broken her silence over the backlash she received for her polarising partnership with Bud Light.

Dylan Mulvaney sat down for an interview on comedian Chelsea Handler’s podcast called Dear Chelsea on 4th May. In addition, the episode was released on Thursday.

Moreover, during the interview, she admitted that she is heartbreaking with critics for misgendering her.

She said, ‘That’s what I think a lot of these haters don’t realize is the Mental effects of misgendering in the media. It breaks my heart because you know there are people calling me a man and I don’t right now I feel like I’m not even processing any of it.’

She added, ‘I’m so scared to do that deep dive and to know what the effects are and I’ll say these haters they really wore me down for a second.’

Subsequently, she mentioned, ‘Dysphoria truly it feels like a darkness that kind of washes over you and it is those moments of being misgendered…that made me so sad.’

Furthermore, she also talked about the criticism she is facing ever since she came out as a transgender woman.

Mulvaney stated, ‘But at the end of the day, I’m happier than I ever have been, because I could I can’t imagine going back to that other person. It breaks my heart to think about it.

Dylan Mulvaney sparked widespread fury with her controversial partnership with Bud Light.

If you didn’t know, she uploaded a series of posts following her partnership on 1st April for her eleven million followers on social media.

Nevertheless, in the video, we can see her sitting in a bathtub and taking a swig from a custom can of America’s best-selling beer.

Mulvaney also began using the hashtag #budlightpartner with her posts about Bud Light.

Also, her promotion content coincided with the NCAA March Madness tournament. However, she jokingly revealed that she didn’t know what sport she is supposed to promote.

For the unversed, Mulvaney rose to prominence when she was featured in a video series of Girlhood. It is a documentary that includes her initial journey of transitioning as a woman. 

Meanwhile, the sales of the American flagship beer have reportedly plummeted to 26 percent following their disastrous marketing bid.

Besides that, the company is supposedly dealing with outrage from several sides of the political spectrum, especially conservatives.
