Tory Lanez‘s lawyer asks to postpone the trial date in Megan Thee Stallion’s case

According to Rolling Stone senior reporter Nancy Dillon, Tory Lanez was a no-show at the pre-trial hearing. It took place in a Los Angeles courtroom on 28th July Thursday.

However, during the proceedings the rapper’s lawyer, Shawn Holley asked to push back the original date of trial which was set for 14th September. He cited the reason to be a ‘potential conflict’ in an unrelated case that allegedly involved Megan Thee Stallion.

Dillon took to Twitter to offer updates on the Lanez hearing. She wrote, ‘Tory didn’t attend. His lawyer asked to postpone the 9/14 trial in Megan Thee Stallion’s assault case due to potential conflicts with an unrelated case she’s on. The judge called it ‘premature’ to bump the trial. Back 8/12 to see if the conflicts clear up.’

In other words, the judge neither allowed nor denied the lawyer’s request.
