He said, ‘I’m no stranger to the physical aspects of the job doing the whole action-movie thing.’

Subsequently, he continued, ‘But the mental aspect, it really beat me up and it took a long time for me to recover afterward, to sort of get back to reality.’

Furthermore, Holland also revealed that he has been sober for a little over sixteen months now.

Besides that, the 26-year-old actor recalled the time when he couldn’t detach himself from Danny after filming the series for nine months.

He revealed that it resulted in him having a ‘bit of a meltdown’ where he even wanted to shave his head to separate them.

Nevertheless, he ultimately recovered after realizing that he was in the middle of a shoot and could not do it. Holland noted that he has never experienced something like that throughout his acting career.

He said at that time, ‘I find Instagram and Twitter to be overstimulating, to be overwhelming.’

He continued, ‘I get caught up and I spiral when I read things about me online. Ultimately it’s very detrimental to my mental state.’

Holland further explained, ‘There is an awful stigma against mental health and I know that asking for help and seeking help isn’t something that we should be ashamed of, but it is something that is much easier said than done.’
