During a recent telethon in favour of the drag queen community, Charlize Theron received criticism for expressing she would f**k up anybody who was against drag queens. During the telethon, titled ‘Drag Isn’t Dangerous,’ the actress and her friends addressed those who were against drag queens. The ‘Bombshell’ star was addressing conservative lawmakers who were trying to restrict children from seeing drag queen performances. She argued that children faced much greater dangers than drag queens, arguing that she previously made headlines for dressing her 11-year-old Jackson as a girl for years, highlighting the positive impact drag queens had on the world by spreading happiness and love.

The Producer Entertainment Group organized the ‘Drag Is Not Dangerous’ fundraiser in partnership with major LGBTQIA+ organizations. In order to prevent minors from witnessing drag performances in public spaces, conservative states, including Tennessee and Texas, are proposing legislation to regulate drag performances in public spaces. There were also performances by drag queens and appearances by celebrities such as Melissa McCarthy, Jesse Eisenberg, and Sarah Silverman at the fundraiser. In her self-recorded video, Theron defended the drag queen community with the support of her friends. Assuring that she would not hesitate to take action if anyone threatened drag queens, she expressed her unwavering support for them.

A recent telethon in support of drag queens saw Charlize Theron defending drag queens and threatening anyone running against them. On Sunday, May 7, the actress and her friends addressed people who were against drag queens during their telethon, titled ‘Drag Isn’t Dangerous’. It was the ‘Bombshell’ star’s comments that targeted conservative lawmakers who were trying to restrict children from watching drag queen performances. According to Theron, who has previously made headlines for dressing her son Jackson, 11, as a girl, children face far greater dangers than drag queens, emphasizing the positive impact the performers have on the world by spreading love and happiness. A fundraiser called ‘Drag Is Not Dangerous’ was organized by the Producer Entertainment Group and major LGBTQIA+ organizations. In Tennessee and Texas, conservative state legislatures are considering legislation to regulate drag performances in public spaces in order to prevent minors from witnessing them. The event was designed to raise funds for these organizations. Other celebrities who performed at the fundraiser included Melissa McCarthy, Jesse Eisenberg, Sarah Silverman, and drag queens.

A self-recorded video of Charlize Theron defending the drag queen community was accompanied by her friends’ support. In a statement, she expressed her unwavering support for drag queens, warning anyone who threatens them that she would not hesitate to take action. Queens, we love you! As Fox News reports, she said, We’re in your corner, and we’ve got you, and you better watch out for anybody trying to screw with you. The truth is, there are so many things that are hurting and killing kids these days, and I’m sure we all know what I’m talking about. As she further explained, the danger to children is nothing to do with drag queens because seeing a drag queen lip sync is only going to make you happier and make you love each other more. Taking part in it makes you a better person. As she joked, I’d do a death drop right now if I could, but I’d probably break my hip. In her speech, she encouraged viewers to support all of the great organizations that are helping all of this nonsense go away as it should. Goodbye! In the end, she added, There is no room for hate, only love, and love equals drag queens! Internet users had their own opinions about Theron’s remarks. The tweet of one user read, “She is eternally lost.” A gif was shared by another.
