Foothills Christian Church Preschool, California has been shut due to its violation of the state’s mask mandate. The government has also barred the director of the school – Tiffany McHugh and has discouraged her from working with children in the future.

California’s Department of Social Services (DSS) maintains one of the strictest norms to battle the pandemic by strongly enforcing mask and vaccine regulations. This endeavor has been appreciated its rigidness has had some bizarre consequences. Earlier, two siblings were banned from a school for not wearing masks and this incident has caused an uproar on media.

Governor Gavin Newsom however has decided to continue his support for these rigid preventive norms although they can be extreme. The case of foothills preschool’s closure has evoked protests from parents for being taking unreasonable action. The issue has also gained momentum recently across various social media platforms. The director has also been fighting the State against the suspension.

Tiffany McHugh does not have a social media presence but is also the program director of the preschool in El Cajon, San Diego. She expressed to CBS8 that the school was frequently inspected by the DSS in September. However, since then, the school has been making efforts to mitigate its criticisms.
