Rapper Diddy is to have a collaboration with The Weeknd to come soon but the former had something to say that hinted towards the retirement of the latter. It was recently while teasing about their collab that Diddy pointed out something that says The Weeknd might be taking retirement from his musical career. But is that really so?

Yes, both Diddy and The Weeknd are going to have a collab called “Another One Of Me”. As it would be a part of Bad Boy CEO’s upcoming work “The Love Album: Off The Grid”. So, fans can get excited again as it’s time for a collab after a long time.

The Love Album: Off The Grid is set to arrive on 15th September. It is to feature many great artists like Justin Bieber, Mary J Blige, H.E.R, Summer Walker, Babyface, and more. In fact, Diddy had been even teasing the upcoming collab of him and The Weeknd.

During the teasing short on YouTube, Diddy in fact hinted at something shocking about The Weeknd. As fans of The Weeknd knowing the same won’t be happy. Rapper Diddy dropped hints on upcoming collab being the last one of The Weeknd.

Is rapper The Weeknd to retire after his upcoming collab?

No doubt fans of The Weeknd are really excited for his arrival collab with Diddy. But the latter’s short on YouTube about the collab hinted at Weeknd’s final collab of his career. As Diddy’s short was captioned “IT’S OFFICIAL @THEWEEKND’S LAST COLLAB OF HIS CAREER WILL BE ON….THE LOVE ALBUM: OFF THE GRID”.

Though, Weeknd has himself hasn’t confirmed his retirement. Meanwhile, during one of the interviews with W Magazine, the rapper talked about undergoing the evolution of his career. But that was in terms of his stage name. He may switch to his real name Abel Tesfaye.

He had said, “I’m going through a cathartic path right now”. He added “It’s getting to a place and a time where I’m getting ready to close the Weeknd chapter. I’ll still make music, maybe as Abel, may be as The Weeknd. But i still want to kill The Weeknd. And I will. Eventually. I’m definitely trying to shed that skin and be reborn”.
