During a July 4th parade in Chicago, a gunman opened fire which claimed the lives of six people and injured dozens more. It is reported to be one of the worst mass shootings in the history of Illinois.

Highland Park parade shooting suspect in custody
A gunman suspected of causing the Highland Park mass shooting was arrested after he fired a ‘high-powered rifle’ from a rooftop on Monday onto a crowd.
At 6:45 p.m. Monday, the Highland Park officials confirmed that the ‘person of interest is identified as Robert E. ‘Bobby” Crimo III.
Furthermore, Crimo is a 22-year-old amateur rapper who performs under the name ‘Awake the Rapper’.
The suspect is also reported to upload disturbing and graphic videos. He once shared an image of Lee Harvey Oswald, John F. Kennedy’s assassin, holding a rifle.
An IMDb page listed Crimo as a ‘rapper, singer, songwriter, actor and director’ residing in Chicago.
The page adds that one of his 2018 songs amassed, ‘millions of plays so far across online streaming platforms.’
One user bio on the site says, ‘The hip hop phenom is mostly known for his hit song ‘On My Mind’ which was released on 8th October 2018.’
According to the IMDb page, he started sharing music on the platform when he was 11 years old. His net worth is allegedly $100,000.
Moreover, the page claims that ‘the six-foot Hip hop phenom’ was born on 20th September 2000.
Highland Park, Illinois police say the shooting suspect is a white 18-20 year-old male with longer black hair, a small build, and wearing a white or blue t-shirt.

Highland Park parade shooting
It was a Monday morning when people were gathering for a celebration parade in a Chicago suburb when suddenly dozens of bullets were fired from a rooftop.
Regardless the streets were filled with screams amid the chaos as the crowd ran towards safety.
Few attendees shared the clips from the incident on social media platforms.

According to law enforcement, the incident took place around 10:15 am. The suspect managed to flee the scene before the cops could arrest him.
However, they launched a manhunt which ended with the North Chicago cops pulling over the suspect’s car. He was ‘taken into custody without incident’ on U.S. 41 at Westleigh Road in Lake Forest almost eight hours after the incident.
