Orlando Brown’s mental health will reportedly be evaluated ahead of his Ohio criminal case trial. Moreover, he may have an opportunity to make a possible plea of not guilty because of insanity.

Orlando Brown will get his head checked before his Ohio trial begins

According to the recent legal documents obtained by TMZ, Orlando Brown’s attorney has asked for a mental evaluation. 

Moreover, the examination will be conducted in order to find out whether the disgraced actor is mentally stable to stand for his trial case.

For the unversed, Brown was detained last December in Ohio. He is facing multiple criminal charges including aggravated menacing and a first-degree misdemeanor.

While the Disney alum has previously pleaded not guilty, the results of his mental evaluation might lead Brown to change his initial plea.

Meanwhile, Brown is currently on house arrest. He was released from jail on Friday after posting a bail of nearly $25,000.

Brown made his big screen debut in Damon Wayans’s 1995 comedy Major Payne. He later featured in multiple popular family sitcoms such as Family Matters and Two of a Kind.

It was reported last Orlando Brown was taken into custody back in December 2022 after cops received a call about a fight in progress between two men.

In addition, the alleged victim claimed to officers that Brown came at him with a broken-off knife and hammer in a threatening manner.

Furthermore, it was revealed that Brown was residing with the alleged victim who also got him a movie role. However, Brown ended up losing the gig following the alleged incident.

Meanwhile, the 35-year-old previously made headlines after his interview with Dr. Phil McGraw in 2018. Brown’s visit to the doctor happened as a closure to a turbulent year.

Brown was arrested almost every month during that year. Additionally, some of his charges included drug possession, burglary, resisting a public official, and domestic assault.

Besides that, he gained notoriety for tattooing the face of his former co-star Raven Symoné on his chest in May of the same year. 

The rapper also served time behind prison bars in September of that year following a no-contest plea to a drug possession offense. He also had to serve time in jail for trying to change the locks of his friend’s restaurant doors.
