Taylor Swift suffered a hand injury after taking a fall backstage. Page Six reports that the singer still performed on Sunday night in Houston, Texas. In a TikTok video that has gone viral, fans couldn’t help but notice her open wound. Her Eras Tour began one month ago, and while she has attempted several methods to bandage the wound in the video, the 33-year-old looked unphased by the gash and still gave her all on stage. Fans expressed their concerns on social media following the performance, and Swift explained that she tripped on her dress hem while changing backstage, bracing the fall with her palm.

Despite Swift’s uncertainty about which dress hem caused the problem, one of the three photos she included in the post shows a white floor-length gown that seems tricky to navigate in the dark. Despite her tumble, the Grammy winner, who called it quits with Joe Alwyn in early April after dating for six years, maintained a positive outlook, calling the Houston stint “insane”. Her trip to Atlanta, Georgia, is one of several stops she is looking forward to on her tour, and one that Swift is extremely excited about, writing, Loving this tour so much because of the passion these crowds put into it.

The Singer Taylor Swift Reveals Backstage Injury After Fans Notice An Open Hand-Wound: Says ‘I’m Totally Fine’

In response to fans who noticed the singer performing with an open wound during her Houston show on Sunday night, Taylor Swift says she’s “totally fine.” For those who ask so, Swift, 33, says she’s totally fine and it was her fault entirely. She also tweeted a photo of her performing stage right. In an attempt to comfort fans, Swift – who has been on tour for a month – said she tripped on her dress hem and fell while changing, bracing herself with her palm during the fall. Although it is unclear which dress hem is to blame, Swift’s post includes three photos that show a white, flowy floor-length gown that seems difficult to maneuver in the dark. There was a lot of Mercury in retrograde code going on. Do not worry about me. I am good, she joked, making an astrological reference that is often foretold to bring misfortune in different forms. The songstress also appeared unfazed by the gash in a viral video posted on TikTok in which she attempted multiple ways to bandage the wound while performing. In spite of her tumble, the Grammy winner maintained a positive outlook, calling the three-night stint in Houston insane despite ending her six-year relationship with Joe Alwyn.

She wrote I’m waking up smiling because I’m reminiscing about how much fun we had. The singer also gushed about the fans who put so much passion into her tour, writing, I cannot wait to see my fans again in Atlanta. Swift was commended on Twitter by one user who wrote, While men cancel their shows because of a toe hit on the edge of the bed, Taylor Swift performs [sic] a 3-hour show with half her hand wounded. There’s nothing like the strength you possess on both a mental and physical level. Another user complimented the singer for continuing to perform after assuring us that he was fine. In light of her recent split from Alwyn, Swift has been making the most of her time on tour and reassuring fans that everything is fine. When asked if she was okay by a fan holding a sign on April 15, Swift gave a convincing thumbs up. As well as making public appearances with Gigi Hadid, Blake Lively, the Haim sisters, and others in New York City between shows, Swift has made the most of her quality time with her girl squad.
