Friends of the late Stephen tWitch Boss are calling out Todrick Hall for implying that Ellen DeGeneres might be the reason behind his suicide.

Here is everything you need to know.

Todrick Hall gets slammed for blaming Ellen DeGeneres

Todrick Hall sat down with Page Six earlier this week where he implied that Ellen DeGeneres was one of the reasons why Stephen tWitch Boss took his own life.

He said, ‘People were looking at him like, “Why are you still supporting this woman.” I think he was under a lot of pressure.’

If you didn’t know, Hall is referring to the backlash DeGeneres faced after being accused of running a racist, sexist and toxic work environment.

Additionally, many netizens targeted Boss for standing by DeGeneres while they continued to attack the host and the show.

Hall added, ‘I don’t know what was going on in his life that may [have led] him to make that decision but I do understand.’

However, a source close to Boss claimed that Hall’s allegations were extremely negligent and self-serving.

Moreover, they said that it is unfortunate for Hall to speculate what caused Boss’ death especially when he was promoting his show.

In addition, the insider mentioned that Boss loved his time on DeGeneres’ show. They also noted that their late friend also held tons of respect during his time on the set.

Meanwhile, Boss wrote a suicide note before his death where he referenced ‘challenges he’s faced in the past.’

Meanwhile, Boss is survived by his wife Allison Holker, and two children, Maddox and Zaia.

Nevertheless, DeGeneres shared an Instagram video to mourn the tragic death of the Magic Mike XXL actor.

She said, ‘Everyone is in pain and trying to make sense of it — we will never make sense of it. And the holidays are hard, I think. Anyway, but I think the best thing we can do to honor tWitch is to laugh, and hug each other and to play games and dance and sing.’

She added, ‘That’s the way we honor him … We do the things he loved to do.’
