SM Entertainment Confirms, EXO Member Chen Welcome Second Child with wife

Chen, a member of the K-pop band Exo, along with his wife, welcomed their second child into the world. The news regarding Chen’s wide second pregnancy came to light in November 2021.

Chen Becomes a Father for the Second Time

SM Entertainment confirmed the news regarding the birth of his second child. SM Entertainment happens to be Chen’s Agency, released a statement to the press to share the same. However, the gender of the baby has not been revealed yet.

Chen, the Exo member is currently serving the military as a public service worker. He broke the news of his marriage in a handwritten letter to his fans, back in January 2020. In the same year, the singer surprised his fans with yet another news. The couple welcomed their first child in April 2020, and his fans were delighted at the news. He went off for duty for his mandatory military service in October 2020. Most probably, he will be discharged in April this year.

Chen has revealed very little information about his wife and family. He chose to keep his private life away from the spotlight. Fans and fan clubs took to social media to congratulate the couple.

A Little Bit About Chen’s Life

Chen happens to be the lead vocalist of the K-pop band Exo. He was born in 1992 in Daejeon, South Korea, and grew up in Siheung. The singer and songwriter’s original name is Kim Jong-dae, but is known far and wide by his stage name Chen. He made his debut with Exo in 2012 when the band released their first mini-album ‘Mama’ in Chinese as well as Korean. He further took part in projects of SM Entertainment such as Exo-CBX and SM the ballad. In addition, he has released songs for television dramas, well-known ones being “Best Luck” for ‘It’s Okay, That’s Love’ and “Everytime” for ‘Descendants of the Sun’.

Above all, Chen even debuted as a solo singer in 2019. His song “Beautiful Goodbye” was the part of an extended play ‘April, and a Flower.’ The play, moreover, ranked #2 on South Korean Goan Album Chart. The most recent release of the icon was in June, by the name of ‘Don’t Fight The Feeling’.
