Sizzla’s video of burning DJ Khaled’s platinum plaques is going viral

It appears like Reggae artist Sizzla has a bone to pick with DJ Khaled after the former burned the We The Best mogul’s platinum plaques.

Sizzla burns DJ Khaled’s platinum plaques

Sizzla took to his Instagram account to post a video of himself and a few of his friends dismantling and burning multiple plaques of DJ Khaled on 8th December.

Moreover, the dancehall legend apparently received the plaques for his work on the Miami-based DJ’s recent albums. 

Besides that, Sizzla can be heard saying that he felt insulted by Khaled. But he refrained from elaborating the full story behind his actions.

In addition, the video shows a few men breaking the commemorative plaques. However, Sizzla didn’t forget to cut the photos of Khaled’s son Asahd out of respect.

The frequent DJ Khaled collaborator also reportedly says, ‘DJ Khaled, man, ya insulted me. You insult Jamaica Wrong plaque ya send me. Burn the devil, burn corruption. Wrong plaque ya send me. Can’t even see my name.’

The beef between Sizzla and DJ Khaled explained

According to TMZ, Sizzla was angry to learn that his name was engraved in a smaller print on the plaque. He adds that this is disrespectful to Jamaican culture as a whole.

Additionally, in another clip, he says to the 47-year-old rapper, ‘You’re not the best, you’re the worst.’

Besides that, he shared that he set aside Khaled’s son Asahd’s picture as he believes, ‘babies are innocent.’

Sizzla also went ahead to call Asahd his ‘godchild.’

He reportedly said, ‘Rastafari! Put this in my studio.’

For the unversed, The Every Chance I Get artist shares two sons with his wife Nicole Tuck: Asahd and Aalam.

Furthermore, Sizzla has been featured in multiple albums by DJ Khaled. He was first introduced in the executive producer’s 2017 album Grateful. Also, he appeared in the intro tracks of 2019’s the Father of Asahd. 

Meanwhile, the 46-year-old Jamaican dignitary also featured in Khaled’s latest album God Did. He was joined alongside Buju Banton, Capleton, Bounty Killer and Skillibeng for the song These Streets Know My Name.

Netizens react to Sizzla’s alleged beef with DJ Khaled 

Social media users had a mixed reaction towards Sizzla setting ablaze DJ Khaled’s plaques.

 While some claimed that Sizzla went overboard to cancel Khaled, others rose in support of the Jamaican native.

Moreover, the latter group said that Khaled reached on top of the music charts due to Sizzla’s collaboration.
