Shots fired at Danbury Fair Mall: Teenage girl injured, know more here
2 min readPolice have ceased the whole area around The Danbury Fair Mall. The Connecticut State Police has been investigating the shots that were fired at the Mall. The suspects shot one 16 years girl in the chest.
The suspects are under police observation and they’re searching for them. Police stated that there were at least 8 people involved, but only one of them fired the gun. Police gathered in the area after the local public reported about hearing fire shots.
The wounded girl was there. The whole area was in Lockdown. The girl was not part of the group.
The suspects ran away from the Danbury Fair Mall and the police have said that they have acquired a CCTV video. Police will find the suspects by CCTV video in a few days. A suspect was holding a Hammer, he may be the main target. There is no lockdown now, as the scene is clear.
There was a person Tyreef Mahboob who was one of the locals. He explained the whole scene to the police and filed an F.I.R report. The incident took place at 7 P.M. The victim was very much “alert and conscious” at the scene, according to the police. Housatonic Area Regional Transit reported that no services were to be provided to the mall.
CPD said that it is assisting Danbury PD in catching the suspects as soon as possible, and is making sure that people avoid going there. A spokesperson for The Department of Emergency Service reported near 9 PM that the situation was not an active shooter or mass killing situation.
One witness provided information to the police and told Fox News that he heard gunshots at 6:30 PM. There were many videos showing kids running here and there to keep themselves safe. Large crowds were also gathering up at the nearby parking lot to see the police inaction. The CPD rescued two victims who were hiding behind the backside of the garage.
