Selena Gomez recently shared that she will not appear on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon as she had contracted COVID-19.

Selena Gomez was set to appear in a recent episode of ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.’ However, the singer-songwriter canceled her appearance after she was diagnosed with COVID-19.

Gomez herself took to Instagram to share the news with her fans and followers.

She wrote, ‘I’m not going to be on Fallon tonight. I ended up getting covid but am resting and feeling ok. A friendly reminder that covid is still out there.’

Moreover, the 30-year-old artist added, ‘Get updated on your boosters. I was actually scheduled to get mine this week. Love you all.’

She shared the message alongside a post where she can be seen resting in a cuddly position with her dogs lying nearby.

Additionally, Gomez was gearing up to promote her upcoming documentary, ‘Selena Gomez: My Mind and Me’ during her appearance on the late-night show. 

The documentary will let the fans take a look at struggles with mental health over the years.

She explained that the series will chronicle her health journey over the last six years, including her battle with lupus, depression, and anxiety.

Subsequently, Gomez said, ‘As nervous as I am to put out something this personal, in my heart I know now is this time. I hope that by sharing my experience and difficulties, it will help people feel inspired to share their own stories. And to have hope that things can and will get better.’

In the documentary’s trailer, the Lose You To Love Me singer can be heard saying, ‘Just be who you are, Selena. No one cares about what you’re doing.’

She further says, ‘It’s about who I am, being okay with where I am. I am grateful to be alive.’

Meanwhile, the documentary is all set to release on Apple TV+ on 4th November.
