Saweetie recently talked about her new album The Single Life before hosting The Single Life Night alongside Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey last Friday.

She claimed that the upcoming album is, ‘my testimony as a single woman and what I’ve been through, the good and the bad.’

Moreover, she mentioned, ‘I feel like a lot of my private love life has been publicized on the media and the internet, so it’s time for me to speak up.’

Saweetie had previously talked about her new album during an interview with PEOPLE magazine.

She said, ‘I think the best way to respond to my perception is through music. Because honestly, if you don’t know me personally, I’m not gonna have a personal conversation online.’

Besides that, the 29-year-old singer confirmed that her upcoming album is slated to drop this year.

She admitted, ‘The Single Life … what it means to me is just me standing on being single. We need to be comfortable in just being single.’

Furthermore, the Icy Grl hitmaker went on to add, ‘And if you want to go here and go there, that’s OK too. But I’m a single woman and I’m proud to be with myself.’

Subsequently, the reporter asked Saweetie what will the listeners potentially hear when they hear The Single Life.

California’s native responded with, ‘I think they can expect honesty, truth. The single life is really like a diary to my life. So whatever they catch, they don’t catch.’
