On Christmas Eve, twin brothers “Ruddy and Alberto Morales” from Rhode Island died after veering off the road. In a car crash that took place in Massachusetts Friday morning, Russell and Alberto Morales were killed.

As Ruddy and Alberto Morales, 33, traveled westbound on Interstate 195 through Massachusetts during rush hour on Dec. 24, their Honda Accord left the roadway, struck a median, and crashed into trees, state police said in a press release.

Neither man survived, police said. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The accident did not involve any other vehicles.

According to police, the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the Crime Scene Services Section are working to determine the cause of the crash. A request for more information regarding the accident was not immediately returned by the department.

Melissa Talavera, Alberto’s girlfriend, told the Boston Globe that she and her brother are “very close.”

According to her, they were always together. “It was always me, him, my kids, and his brother.

In a statement to WJAR, Julia Andreozzi said she planned on seeing Ruddy along with their son later that day.

According to a news station, she is devastated by the crash.

According to her, she and her son were preparing for Christmas Eve as they were talking to the news station. The two were supposed to see Ruddy (the child’s father). Afterward, she got a call around 12 o’clock that afternoon saying they had driven off the highway and had struck a tree, and that it had been a fatal accident.

“Ruddy was the love of my life and my son’s father,” she added. In closing, she emphasizes how grateful she is that he had the life he did. He had many good friends. His family was devoted to him.

“The Best Dad”

According to Talavera, Alberto was also an “awesome stepfather” to Talavera’s four other children, while their 2-year-old daughter called Alberto “the best dad” in the world.

“That right there, that’s what hurts the most,” she told the paper. It was “the best Christmas” he had ever had, she recalls him saying at least three or four times.

To assist the families of the brothers with burial expenses, several GoFundMe accounts have been created. So far, $3,300 has been donated.

The fundraiser was organized by Talavera, the woman who lost her parents in a car accident. She wrote, “Help us lay these two beautiful souls to rest.”
