Tavon Alleyne, a 21-year-old Barbadian, was assassinated in 2017. Rihanna resorted to Instagram on the fourth death anniversary to post a slew of photographs of herself with Tavon. “Miss you as well as dat smile man. #Tavon,” the post’s description stated.
On December 26, 2017, Tavon Kaiseen Alleyne was killed during walking in Lake Close, Eden Lodge, St. Michael. The shooter, who has yet to be discovered, fired numerous shots at the 21-year-old before speeding away. Tavon Alleyne was later confirmed dead by a doctor after suffering from his wounds. It’s still unclear whether he was a particular target or an incidental shooting victim.
Rihanna, who celebrated Christmas alongside Tavon Kaiseen Alleyne just hours prior to his death. Shared the heartbreaking revelation on Instagram. She wrote at the time,
“I can’t even believe it was only last evening that I have been holding you in my arms! I never imagined it would be the last time I actually feel your tenderness!!! I’ll forever love you, guy! #endgunviolence.”
Who was Tavon Kaiseen Alleyne?
Before transferring to Barbados Seventh-day Adventist Junior High, Tavon attended St. Leonard’s Boys Private School. He frequently assisted his dad in the sale of clothing and shoes on Swan Street in Bridgetown. Tavon as well as his girlfriend had been dating for around two months when he died. They were considered to be in love. Tavon posted a picture with sister Rihanna from his own Instagram profile. Months prior to actually his death, with the message,
